thus was our friend's cornerstone fixed in place.  no later vicissitude has shaken it.  his alcoholic problem was taken away.  that very night, years ago, it disappeared.  save for a few brief moments of temptation the thought of drink has never returned; and at such times a great revulsion has risen up in him.  seemingly he could not drink even if he would.  god had restored his sanity.

How it works???--god had restored his sanity. I hear people at meetings say they can't even look at TV ads with booze, or a show with someone taking a drink,they have to turn the channel. Can't look at a beer truck. Whats wrong??

Thx, Ellen - nice & simple post. I forget the simple basics sometimes, like in our "Twenty Four Hours a Day" book, each month is for each step. So yes indeed, today begins Step 2 through February.
