Today is our 27th Wedding Anniv. Just wanted to say that my spouse has worked his program solidly since Jan. 2nd. (We were not working with me in alanon and him not working a program). Anyway, I have found a huge relief and a partner back in my life since he took meetings seriously. I find my resentment towards him lessening....yes, that interesting word....resentment....has taken up residence in my head, heart, and soul toward my alcoholic. I am hoping that gradually the resentment will be against the disease and not him.
I can look back now, and sincerely say, that 3, 2, and one year ago, I didn't know if we would have this chance again. But it's here. :coffee:

Congrats, I hope all works out well for you. I had my 18th, but she lived with me for about 4 years prior. Lots of drinking--sober 6years--lots of drinking for 7 years--sober again. Just like 2 different people living together, do to me of course!! You must be a good women to have hung in there !!

Thanks Rick for your reply. Yes, my hubby had 10 yrs. sobriety tucked in there and started up with 6 more. Now sober. Yes, I have been told I am probably too nice or too good. And I certainly question that. And yet I am supposed to see it as a disease. And my spouse said I've already earned my spot in Heaven. (yikes) Guess I will be lookin out for number one more.
