Just wanted to say I have laughed out loud several times tonight and it feels really good. I am really enjoying getting to know folks on this board, and especially enjoy it when folks share their sense of humour.

We have all come a long way, and to be able to smile through things today, sure beats drinking, and makes it all a heap easier, I reckon.

It is good to have a safe place to just be. Unload our worries or share bits of our lives that are bugging us or bringing us joy. I have really come to appreciate this board.

I dunno where my ratbag mate Stan is tonight, but I have enjoyed laughing with him of late. I have just learned he is British, so that has only made me smile even more. I keep getting visions of that guy from "Are you being served"....

Maybe Stan's off making friends or something...

Really enjoyed Johns twelve step call. That was just so good.

I loved the way he described the motley crew. It is funny, I think... how we are all over the world...living totally different lives, and yet we each have the one common denominator that makes everything else okay. It's a good feeling... really makes me feel a part of things beyond my own little square.

Twas very nice of you to think of me Phil! Today was much better, as roaring heat here generally always leads to a storm, so today has been steamy, but cooler. Sorry Nic The bikes kept getting stolen. I lost a Triumph Bonneville and Yamaha DT250 that way. Someone tried to steal my Suzuki T250 but they got 50 yards on it before giving up trying to get it started. I keep looking at bikes and thinking about getting one for the summer but that would be a really cliched mid life crisis statement - and I couldn't get any leather jeans in my size. The Volvo is cool, man. It should be it has air conditioning. The in-car entertainment features over 600 CDs played through six speakers. The leather seats are very sexy when driving with no clothes on. It also has a powerful heater, being designed for use in the Arctic Circle duirng a Swedish Winter. From soaked and frozen to toasted in about 5 minutes. 180 bhp turbo leaves most behind at the lights. Highest speed I have done in it is 140. The top opens so you can feel the wind in your hair, and the best bit is you dont have to wear a helmet to drive one. When I get back from Italy I want to sell it and buy a camper van.
