A good thing about AA is that the people support the good efforts of those who are sincerely trying, even if they fall. Yesterday I went to a meeting after I had drunk some wine, and didn't know where to go from there... I went to the meeting, and they welcomed me... they didn't shun me, or judge me... and they told me I could stay with them as long as I needed to get it together. Then what I needed was some sleep... as I had had HALT in the first place and didn't take care of myself.
This morning,,, I'm off to a meeting first thing,,, and am going to try to take it easy today.

hey, Phil... thanks. You are also loved. I was looking for a way to express it.. you gave me the boat thing, and I am going to share that at tomorrow's meeting. I am grateful for the grace and mercy given to be able to get back in the boat. I didn't do that myself. but with the help of my Higher Power and you guys. Thanks.
I am changing my plans for today... doing only half the social things, and going to show up at the alkathon. I didn't want to tell these people who invited me "no, thanks", but I think I can rearrange things to spend some time with them in church instead of the social function if I go to a different church,,, and that will take care of that obligation.
hey, all of you... balance, watch out for HALT, and if you get there... too hungry, angry, lonely or tired... stop,, and do what you have to do to take care of yourself in a healthy and balanced way. Don't think you have to do everything and perfectly.
