Walked Away...

I wanted a morning meeting this morning and went with the awareness that last week Wednesday I got "smoked out" of the meeting.  The meeting is held in a county park pavilion and county park ordinances are no smoking and then ordinances are subject to alcoholism right?  I left that meeting...not only am I alcoholic I am also tuberculic who had as much trouble kicking smoking (sick) as I did not drinking alcohol.

Since I have no power I went this morning in acceptance and after 15 minutes with the non-smokers two of the smokers walked in smoking; one a former sponsee. I left a message and then I left again as the alcoholic personality I now much about was being reflected back at my reality.  "If you don't like it call the cops' and I knew God was being eased out so I went out with HP myself.  It is what it is and I didn't cause it, cannot control it and will not cure it.  Thanks for letting me share...I will read on.  ((((hugs)))) smile

Are the two smokers aware of the ordinances which prohibit smoking?

Is the meeting chair also aware?

Sorry Jerry for your unpleasant experience. Our meetings in South Africa are now smoke free zones. I used to smoke 60 cigarettes a day and I thank God that I stopped 22 years ago.

Same here Jerry. ... as an ex-smoker, I can see the same addiction to tobacco as with alcohol ... it's best to do what's best for you and your health ... sometimes we must 'let go' and leave ...
