Happy Wednesday, everyone.

I'm back with my tail tucked appropriately between my legs. It's been a long time since I've posted here and it's because I started drinking again. Instead of feeling so much shame in that fact that it keeps me away from AA, I'm trying to admit that for me it can be a step in the process of getting permanently sober. Not a good step -- but a learning experience nonetheless.

Full transparency: This message board was my first real dive into AA and it helped keep me sober for a very long time. I miss the conversations, I miss the respite, and I miss the people. I'd like to get back into that place of returning here on the regular as an additional tool for my recovery.

Anyway, promise to post often. I hope you all are well.

-Adam

Glad you made it back, Adam. It probably will save your life.

Forget guilt and shame. Today is what counts. You can focus on today.

Thrilled you're back Adam ... ... ... Don't be too hard on yourself, a lot of us saw the need to go back and try 'normal' drink'n ... course it didn't work ... I'm one of 'those' ... hard-headed as they come ... lucky I survived ... I found out it was my 'thinker' that was broken ... Rooms of AA fixed the problem, for me ...
