I am new to the forum.  I know my life can exist without alcohol but I'm not sure how to adapt it. Is that even the right verbiage?  I'm drinking now when I should be in bed. I'm 31 years old and get "the shakes."  I love my baby girls more than anyone could know...but get adjetated with them when I shouldn't. That's a piece of me where so much more exists.  Just reaching out.

Rebeccas, welcome to this forum. We have felt the same desperation you are feeling now. It's really bad.

But we got out of it over time. You can too. There is a way out.

While no one in AA can decide if you are an alcoholic except you, I think you are in the right place.  And if you are suffering from the shakes I might "suggest" that you seek medical help for them which are believed to be an alcohol withdrawal symptom which non-exhaustively also includes anxiety and irritability.

By God's grace you have found the AA program, accept God's gift and run with it.
