24 Jan 1971- the day Bill W. died. But AA continued to live. Thanks to the unselfishness of Bill, I can live. Imagine if AA membership was exclusive. It's easy for us to talk today, but in 1935 our co-founder made great sacrifices for alcoholics to live life again. He transcended difficult race barriers, financial set backs and even illness to make sure of our recovery from alcoholism.
I never ever want to forget, how much it cost.
LEST WE FORGET!!!!

Amen .... and thanks for post'n this ... Were it not for Bill's conviction to get sober and find a way for all alcoholics to beat this disease, I'd have been dead for a few years now, of that, I am certain ...

What Bill W.started is still chugging along 8 decades later, still saving lives. He made a huge contribution to the world.

Without AA, most of us would not be sober.
