I'm going to Party like crazy tonight... I just put a whole darn bag of popcorn in the microwave, made a ice cold Pepsi, and going to spend time with my sweet baby NF. (Netflix) until "the ball" drops. Bet I don't end up drunk doing stupid, or in jail having to ask someone if I can use the phone, or.... tomorrow having to ask any one what kind of night I had, or what I'm charged with. What a blessing being clean and sober is to someone like me. Celebrated 26 years of freedom this past week, and while it has been one hell of a journey, it didn't include any handcuffs, court dates, or pissing in someone's cup. smile emoticon I'm grateful.
hate to have to say this Pappy, but there have only been three contributions from AA members in over a year. this portion of the site is actually getting enough to cover its expenses through another group that provides much more to their own support. It's like someone already said here tonight... its like the basket, the 7th tradition and unfortunately it appears that AA's that can't literally be seen passing that basket without putting their dollar in it, are more likely to do so. It appears that people tend to think someone else is doing "their" part, instead of doing their own. Oh well.

I have a TMDHosting 'Amazing Package' for my HobbySite.
Total cost is $46.20 per year which includes the Domain Name.
That works out to about eighty nine cents per week.
The PHP and HTML stuff I have online is open source
GPL FreeWare so it does not cost much money to run a WebSite.
It is time consuming to maintain, though.
I do not know what yours costs so I thought I'd share. :)
I'm in on the donation. I give to the meetings and this site has helped me stay sober. So now you will have 4 giving after I post this. I wish it could be more, John...I am still making below poverty level myself. Hopefully, I will be able to focus more this year and actually be able to "leave the rest" so I can send more later on.

Marc, just this message board cost 16.95 a month. I am aware of your service and it would in no way meet my needs for this site without it ending up costing more than it currently does. However, thanks for the headsup, I do like to get information and resource references from everyone.

I pay TMDHosting for the Server Space and the LAMP Engine driving it but I do all my own Admin stuff.
To each his/her own methods of course so no conflict.
