I sure could use some of your positive thoughts, prayers, mojo etc...

I had a biospy down on some enlarged lymph nodes in my neck today.  Second time around as the test last week

yielded no results.  Dr said it could be a number of things, may something simple, that's pray for that.  biggrin

Prayers are with you Dean, ... I was wearing those shoes this time last year ... the 'testing' part that is ... of course everyone knows mine turned up cancerous ... I pray you don't have to go through what I did ... probably not since yours is in a different area ... but still, no one wants to hear the doctor mention the 'C' word ... and I found out it wasn't the end of the world ... yet ...

Oh man, my heart goes out to you if you start having all those frick'n Drs. appointments ... what a pain in the butt ... ha, for me?, literally ...

Love ya man and missed you,
God Bless,
Pappy

I'm thinking if the tests yielded no results last week, that is probably a good sign. (I'd rather have NO results, than bad ones.)

Praying in Jesus name, that you get healed completely my dear brother Dean. I always remember your love on this forum.

Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Second biopsy same inconclusive result, "atypical cells" but the ENT did say, when I pressed him, that it's looking like cancer of the tongue,
which very treatable through targeted radiation. He scheduled another type of biopsy for when I get back from this NC trip. I'm ok with it, and ready to do what I gotta do. Just praying that the "pet scan" doesn't show it spread to somewhere else. Thanks for the support family. Otherwise I feel fine. I had a stressful summer, but those elements are resolved and or gone now.

Hey Dean,

I am very sorry to hear your news, though it sounds like nothing definite yet. Like the others I will be praying for a positive outcome for you. Many of these illnesses can be treated sucessfully these days and the success rates keep getting better. My suggestion is to focus on the 24 hour plan in the eleventh step, live in the now.

I read a book on fear recently and it said something very interesting along the lines of the thing we fear is not actually happening at the moment, and if it does happen we no longer fear it, we deal with it. To give you an example I sometimes fear falling overboard. If I did fall overboard I would be fighting to stay afloat and be rescued. My fear would have moved on to drowning if I can't stay afloat, but I would no longer fear falling overboard. I could burn up a lot of energy fearing things that aren't happening.

The other thing that has been wonderful for me is faith acquired through experience. I know that what ever happens, it will be O.K. A friend of my has a saying. "It will all be OK in the end. If it's not OK, it's not the end."

God bless you Dean.

Keeping you in my prayers also! Here's some inspiration...true story! My mom was diagnosed with cancer on her nose. A minor surgery and it was removed. It has not grown back and she's doing well. It amazes me what medical technology can do. But any thing modern medicine can do for us, God can do it much better! Mom is 81.

Dean...For me I know from practice that letting go of fear and having faith in healing helps me maintain health of mind, body, spirit and emotions all the time.  The recovery process of my last two head surgeries using this process is remarkable.  I get to relax and let my body do what its always in the process of doing...healing and getting healthy.  HP helps it work.  Trust.   ((((hugs)))) smile

Update,
I had a 3rd biopsy this morning, called a fine needle aspiration guided by ultrasound. The pathologist said they got enough material for the lab to determine what's causing this lymph node to swell. Should know tomorrow. Hoping for something simple like a minor infection.
Thanks for a the positive thoughts and prayers. I'll keep you posted.

I hope you don't have to wait long for the lab results, Dean. It's the not knowing what is going on which can cause more anxiety. Thank God you are so strong.

Since my name was mentioned, I just want to THANK all those here for their prayers on my behalf ... This past week, I've seen and felt significant improvement in my health ... pain level has dropped way down and I'm looking to be rid of the pills ... 'One Day at a Time' ...

I go for a 'check-up' next week ... hope to start closing this chapter of my life ... Thank you Lord for all the 'positive energy' flowing my way ... I can tell the difference ...

Cheer up Dean, the Lord has a lot more for you to do here ... so you'll be just fine ...

Love you guys so much, God Bless,
Pappy

Thanks Pappa and all, not gona lie, it's a little overwhelming. I all set up for chemo and radiation in a couple of weeks, hoping for the surgical sollution, but I'm almost ready to do the battle if not. Loving wife and son, and all of you wonderful people, I don't know what I'd do without you.

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I pray that you will completely heal my friend and brother, Dean. Restore all the cells in his body and remove the cancer from the throat or any other place in the body. I know that you will do it Lord. I pray. Amen.
