Yeah, man, everything Pappy sez. And I would like to express my gratitude to this board, and everybody who has posted on it over the years, and the keepers of the flame ( Pappy, Dean, and the other moderators, and John.)
i followed this board for 5 years. I tried to quit many times, but could never string together more than 10 days. Last June, over a year ago, I quit for good. This board, along with meetings, really helped me. And I thank you all for that. It's hard to do when you feel like you're all alone. So, in times of second guessing myself, and feeling like nobody understands what I was going through, I came here, and learned, and didn't feel so isolated from the human race. I'm amongst friends who "get it".
it would be cool as a witch's tit in January if we could all meet in some big field, or beach, or National park, or somewhere, and spend the weekend together, have a big bar-b-que. I'm in Florida, like Dean. Maybe during the winter, some of you who live up north might want to get out of the cold for a weekend, and come down here and visit.,I sure as hell ain't going up there in that freezing weather!
Ha, ... I think Baba is on to something here, but truth is MIP is 'World Wide' and only a handful of us could ever manage to get together at one time ... although, Florida would be great, Hawaii even better, LOL ... some of us HAVE met in different states here(US), for lunch, and sometimes for a few days, and have thoroughly enjoyed it ... I have, Dean has, and a number of others ...
Not too sure about the naked bowling, bad back 'n all ... guess I'd just have to settle for watching ...
I'm sure Jerry would like us all to meet in his territory and do the seaside thingy ... oh man, what a dream that is ...
