You are always in my prayerful thoughts. Thanks for always posting and keeping this forum alive. I dip in here most days just to read your thoughts. It's like being at a meeting.

Hi Gonee, ... I hope your family is at peace with the way things are today ... I know the trials have been immense recently ...

Maybe Pickle can put on his 'sailor's' hat and jump in the boat??? ... LOL ...

Thanks Pappy. Nice to see your post and overcome your health challenges.
My grandson is still in a coma. He has sustained 95% brain damage. God is in charge.
I have to continue with my program of recovery. At least I can offer support.

It is very often we cannot see or understand why things of this nature are as they are ... I've frequently wondered about that in my current condition ... and I've found that I do have comfort in knowing that God IS listening to my pleas and He has taught me that things progress on His time schedule, not mine ... and things suddenly have turned out for the best but it has taken me sometimes weeks, months, or years to realize it, and to see it ... (This also reminds me of an old Garth Brooks song --- Thank God for Unanswered Prayers ... cause we do not always know what's best for us when we ask for things, but He does ...) (and I've learned it is always better to pray for others, cause God already knows what I need ... ) ...

Ya know, I've been blessed with very good health (except for when I nearly killed myself drink'n) into my 60's, so I always show gratitude in my prayers for that ... some people have never enjoyed the things I've been able to enjoy, so I AM grateful to have had all these good years ... and 'Lord Willing', He'll grant me a few more ... and 'Lord Willing', maybe I can help lead some other poor alcoholic into recovery ...

Thank you guys for being those 'life-long' friends the BB tells us about,
Love you and God Bless you,
Pappy
