The definition of resentments is:

"Bitter indignation at having been treated unfairly."

Synonyms are : Irritation, dissatisfaction, disgruntlement, discontentment, resentfulness, bad feelings, hard feelings.

I know that I had a ton of resentments before I worked the steps. All of these and more than I could think of when I was doing my 4th Step, had caused me to drink in the past. If I had not gotten into AA and listened to what those who were staying sober told me about working the Steps...I have no doubt I would never have gotten sober.  Once I wrote all that crap down and shared that stuff with my sponsor it was like years and years of heavy weight was removed from my mind. Most of the things I had worried and fretted, been mad about for years all gone! A couple of them start to creep in when I don't expect it, and I have to pray about them and take care of them. If I let it go too long, I am risking relapsing and killing myself by drinking.

I was particularly interested when one of the synonyms given for "resentment" is "jaundice". Look it up. Funny how things work that way. And I don't mean "funny" in a humorous sense--this is DEAD serious business.

Glad you like it mike, however, my name isn't Dave :)
I'll answer to pretty much anything, though. I'm just grateful my name doesn't start with "Hopeless" and end with "Drunk" anymore.
