My company is sending me away to work for the next 3 days.  Last time they sent me to this site I only have a few months sober.  I was going stir crazy in the hotel and I recall checking in here on MIP constantly but I needed a meeting.  I recall asking the person at intergroup there if they had any "gay" meetings in that town and they laughed at me (funny now, but wasn't then).  So I went to a meeting that was largely a biker meeting in a fairly rural area.  I recall that I was wearing brown khakis and a red shirt and when I said I was traveling for work, they all asked if I worked for target lol.  Nonetheless, those folks were extraordinarily nice and the meeting was just what I needed.  I will go back there this time.

My point - It is a blessing that AA is pretty much everywhere when we need it.
