I thought of giving an opinion about something disturbing I heard about AA but why bother...It just limits myself in my own spiritual voyage...accomplishes nothing.

All is quickly forgotten and my focus is on Spiritual things that I remind myself today for personal growth.

Love is an Inward Beauty.

To Love is to give the Christ Spirit within, without any thought of return

You are all so apt to feel that you must have a return for your love but the soul has to learn to give love.

Love is an inward beauty which flows from the heart from the life.

My Sobriety is contingent on my spiritual well being just for today

Just curious where you found a post on here that led you to feel this way ??? ... most of the posts I've seen have supported the BB and spiritual growth, giving without expectation in return ... and I been here a while ... there are some posts from newbies from time to time that don't exhibit the 'spiritual level' of some of us older members, but hey, that's to be expected until one completes the steps, I think ...

And if you're having trouble accepting or understanding a particular post, by all means, try to get clarification ... or at the very least, ask for another person's view ...

Real love is the giving of one's life for another ... whether it's deserved or not ... and personally, I give a lot of 'time'(life) here and elsewhere to try and help the alcoholics who still suffer ... and I think I speak for many others on the board when I say we're not here to get anything from anyone ... just seeing others stick around and get a life back through recovery is plenty 'payment in return' for us ...

God Bless,

Pappy

Aloha Amigo the definition I have of love in my life today came from another member who spoke of love in a way that caused me to want to know more.  I chased her down after the one meeting I met her at to ask her what her definition was...it is now mine.   "Love is the complete and total acceptance of every other human being for exactly who they are".    I've held that definition at the front door of my heart from the night I first heard it...."every other human being".  That includes you.

One thing of many I've learned in recovery from our fellowship is which unconditional love has made the practice of easy...We make no judgments of others...we accept unconditionally its how HP loves us.

(((hugs))) smile
