...this is GOOD. smile

I'm feeling great, and my sleep disturbances seem to have subsided over the last couple of nights. Feeling rested this morning, and grateful.

Off to work today, then my home group this evening, one of my favorite meetings, which I so look forward to. I'm going to hand off to my sponsor a first-step declaration which I wrote this week. It was so helpful to get all my thoughts out on paper after studying the step in the 12 & 12... and read them back to see: "Wow, Michael... you really ARE powerless over alcohol."

I am SO in the right place. Thank you, God, for bringing me to this moment! Thank you, brothers and sisters, for walking this walk with me.

Hugs all around... have a blessed, sober day,

Michael

Great post Michael

Do me a favor, go into the bathroom and take a good look at the person in the mirror.

You will be face to face with one of God's miracles.

Keep on keeping on.

Thanks, you guys... I handed my Step One journal entry to my sponsor tonight and he seemed kind of surprised! It wasn't anything he gave me to do, I guess it just sort of organically happened. He was really happy to hear that I'd started journalling, and he told me what you all have just said: "Just keep doing what you're doing right now, a day at a time."

At least a meeting a day no matter what, getting my hand up, reading the Big Book and 12 and 12, listening to sober podcasts, starting my journal, praying daily and nightly and keeping in touch with my sponsor. Oh yeah, and visiting here often!

These are the only reasons I haven't had a drink in 21 days.... no way would this be possible otherwise!

Your encouragement means the world to me.

Michael
