JW is a real character. When the Eagle were touring the "Hell freezes over tour" about 13 years ago, Mr. Walsh showed up at one of our beach meetings the night before the show in Tampa. "I'm Joe and I'm an alcoholic". No one bothered him for an autograph, he spoke to a few people, after the meeting, just as another AA and it was very cool.

We had the same kind of experience in DC in '90, when Stevie Ray Vaughan (Rip) showed up a very large (400 member) friday night celebration meeting to get his 2 year medallion. There are a couple program songs on his "In Step" (song by the same name) cd, the other song "crossfire".

my favorite recovery song ever is "tight rope" by stevie ray vaughn....gives me goose pimples just thinking about it.....the guitar solo in that song is nothing but freedom and sobriety.

Love Joe Walsh's soulful rendition of 'One Day At A Time,' and if you're looking to play it, check out some fantastic Joe Walsh tabs to capture that organic vibe on your instrument!
